About Our Lodge
Denali West Lodge is family owned and operated by Alaskans who have lived in the Alaskan interior all of their lives. Every guest has been important to us since the lodge opened in 1985.
Denali West Lodge was built in 1980 with logs
that were cut and hauled from the surrounding forest.
Our lodge nestles in a white birch forest overlooking Lake Minchumina,
the largest lake in interior Alaska and on the western wilderness
border of Denali National Park and Preserve, with a spectacular
view of Mt. McKinley, the most massive mountain on earth.
Our limit is eight guests, which allows us to offer an exceptional,
authentic Alaskan outdoor experience. Join us for an intimate wilderness
visit and share a part of our year-round lifestyle.
About the accommodations:
Your personal accommodations are private log cabins with wood stoves,
set near our birch and cedar sauna and bath house, outhouses and some ingenious alternative energy.
Alaskan meals featuring fresh baked breads, hearty
main dishes and, in the summer, our garden fresh vegetables, are served family style
in the lodge.
