Breaking Trail and Setting Camps
These three photos were taken while we were breaking out the trail and setting up the tent camps in preparation for our March 2008 dogmushing trip.
Caption for Photograph: Snowshoeing in front of the single file dogteam. The dogmusher took this picture while 1 person was sitting in the basket of the dogsled. 3 people took turns. I person rode the runners and brake of the dogsled, and 2 people snowshoed ahead of the dogteam. On the way back to the tent 2 people rode with the dogteam, 1 rode the runners and 1 rode in the basket of the dogsled, as this picture depicts.
